Horrified Worshippers Found Joseph’s Tomb Defaced Again

(IsraelNN.com) Hundreds of worshippers who entered Joseph’s Tomb on Wednesday night were shocked to see the holy site desecrated, apparently by Arab residents of Shechem. More than 500 Jewish worshippers who had coordinated with the IDF for entry were granted special permission to visit the tomb of the Biblical Joseph in Shechem, in honor of the new month of Iyar and Independence Day.

Worshippers were especially appalled that the freshly painted graffiti of swastikas and other anti-Jewish sentiments that defaced the grave appeared merely a day after Holocaust Memorial Day. Additional vandalism included a picture of a sword stabbing a Star of David with drops of blood dripping from it, and a boot stamping it.

The desecration came after a massive restoration was completed by the Shechem Echad organization and the IDF in late December, during the festival of Chanukah. It was the first time Jewish workers had repaired the tomb that was torched by an Arab mob several years ago, at the beginning of the second intifada, also known as the Oslo War.

The actual grave marker was desecrated as well. Worshippers found footprints from military boots worn by Palestinian Authority police officers imprinted on the grave. In addition, two parts of the grave stone were cracked by hammers.

Shomron Regional Council head Gershon Masika, who was one of the first to enter the site, found it difficult to conceal his shock from the appalling sight. “Only barbarians could be capable of doing such terrible things. People who are capable of desecrating such a holy place in such a pathological manner are unfit to be called humans. The terrorists of the Palestinian Police have proven that they lost any form of humanity a long time ago. Woe to the nation that allows the unhindered and repeated desecration of one of its holiest spots which serves as a symbol,” Masika said.

“The State of Israel must return to Joseph’s Tomb, that even the ominous Oslo Accords are supposed to allow. The State of Israel must restore its defiled honor to itself, and retake and [reopen] the yeshiva in Joseph’s Tomb,” Masika added, referring to the center of Jewish study that the tomb once housed.

The Shechem Echad organization, involved with the restoration of Samaria holy sites and the arrangements for Jewish worshippers to enter the tomb, expressed shocked disappointment. “It is outrageous that so many times when we enter Joseph’s Tomb and additional gravesites of Sages in Samaria, we see that they are desecrated time after time. This is an unacceptable situation to reconcile with, and the situation must be rectified.”

Knesset Member Michael Ben-Ari (National Union) stated in wake of the desecration of Joseph’s Tomb that Jewish sovereignty must be implemented by returning to Shechem, presently under the control of the PA. Ben-Ari has called on Defense Minister Ehud Barak to restore the Yeshiva of Joseph’s Tomb to its original location. “This will be an appropriate reaction to the barbarians who desecrate graves,” Ben-Ari said.

Knesset Member Danny Danon (Likud) stated in response to the desecration, “The Palestinians’ barbaric conduct of desecrating holy places has proven once again that whoever becomes mixed up for a moment should know that there is no one with whom to speak.”

How long will faithful Jews tolerate the Israeli government's failure to secure and protect Joseph's Tomb from the Nazi Muslims? It's as if Joseph is being held hostage and we've neglected to redeem him.

It's past time Joes (British Israelites) and Jews (Judah) agree to drive out the covetous and criminal Arabs and invite Children of Israel to move in and take root, to grow and prosper, and ultimately branch out from the Nile to the Euphrates, b'ezrat Hashem (with the help of God).

Joseph isn't Jewish! Joseph is the son of Rachel, the forefather of the Anglo-Saxon-Celtic peoples. Leah is the mother of the Jewish people, although Rachel is also the mother of Benjamin (Joseph's beloved brother) and some from the tribe of Benjamin went with Judah when the northern Ten Tribes went apostate and suffered defeat and deportation by the Assyrians (as Judah later fell to the Babylonians, failing to learn from history).

Christian Zionists (like Orde Wingate) recognize that God has blessed our Jewish brethren to serve as His custodians of the Promised Land of Israel, to be the first to return to Zion, to clear the way as pioneers and hold the land in trust for all Twelve Tribes of Israel, and so many of them do (even though hampered by Hellenists and persecuted by UNJews).

Today Israel is the Jewish homeland and our British Israelite nations should encourage our Jewish brethren to refuse to surrender an inch to our sworn enemies, to liberate those biblical territories still suffering under Arab occupation, and tend to the Holy Land of Israel with tender loving care, especially the Temple Mount.

(IsraelNN.com) Moshe Arens, a former three-time Defense Minister and Foreign Minister, will be the Guest of Honor at a memorial ceremony honoring the late Maj.-Gen. Orde Wingate of the British Army in Mandatory Palestine.

The ceremony will take place on Tuesday afternoon at 2 PM, at the Ammunition Hill Museum in Jerusalem.

Wingate died 65 years ago today, on March 24, 1944. He is known in Israel as HaYedid, the friend, because of his devotion to the Jewish People and Zionism. This was a product of his upbringing in the Christian “Plymouth Brethren” movement, which believed strongly that the Jews must return to Israel. He carried a Bible with him at all times.

Wingate arrived in Palestine in 1936 as a British Captain in military intelligence. He quickly became known as somewhat of a curiosity for his appreciation and sympathy for the Jews; he himself later said that most British officers “disliked” them.

In light of the ongoing Arab intifiada campaign of riots, massacres and attacks organized against the Jews by Grand Mufti Hajj Amin Al Husseini, Wingate initiated a plan to fight back and deter the Arab attacks. In 1938, he submitted a report entitled, "Secret Appreciation of Possibilities of Night Movements by Armed Forces of the Crown - With Object of Putting an end to Terrorism in Northern Palestine." This plan became the basis for the British Special Night Squads (SNS).
The SNS was based primarily in Ein Harod in the Jezreel Valley – mainly because Wingate’s favorite Biblical figure, Gideon, had hand-picked a small army there with which he defeated a large Midianite enemy force.

The Wingate StrategyWingate’s strategy, later used in several important World War II battles, was to “carry the offensive to the enemy,” ambushing Arab saboteurs behind Arab lines and raiding border villages used as bases by the Mufti’s men. His methods and missions were generally crowned with success.

Wingate’s British forces worked together with the Haganah to fight the Arabs. Haganah commander Yitzhak Sadeh later said, "For some time we did the same things as Wingate, but on a smaller scale and with less skill. We followed parallel paths, until he came to us, and in him we found our leader."

Wingate’s personality and military genius made a profound impact on the Jewish defense forces in the 1930’s, and these in turn became the basis for today’s Israel Defense Forces. His contribution to Jewish defense in the Land of Israel is considered enormous.

No Entry to PalestineHis pro-Jewish positions ultimately led to his undoing, and his political enemies managed to have him transferred back to Britain in 1939; his passport was stamped, “No Entry to Palestine.” After leading World War II battles in Sudan, Ethiopia, India and Burma, and after being promoted to the rank of acting Maj.-Gen., he was killed in a plane crash behind Japanese lines in Burma.

General William Slim, who commanded the British 14th Army, wrote that Wingate was a “man of genius… a truly dynamic leader who combined vision and action, one of the few men in this war who was irreplaceable, who designed, raised, trained, and inspired his force, and placed it in the enemy's vitals.”

Wingate and others who died in the air crash were ultimately buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington. A memorial was erected to him in Britain, and The Wingate Institute in Netanya, Israel's National Center for Physical Education and Sport, is named for him. In addition, the Israeli youth village Yemin Orde was named for Wingate; founded in 1953 to accommodate Holocaust orphans and immigrant children, it is today home to more than 500 children from around the world.

It is a great dishonor to Orde Wingate's memory to fail to acknowledge his biblical driving force to bless JUDAH was due to his recognition and embrace of the fact that the Anglo-Saxon-Celts are ISRAEL, specifically the tribe of Joseph.

That you are openly Zionist (Your writings and blog) Leaves me with some intuitive doubts. When a non Jew is holier than Herzl the question comes up Why? It isn’t love for the Jews ( if yes what type of Jew are you referring to?) and except for some geographical sites you probably don’t care much about the Land, O yes the Bible told you so, Right?

I’m sure Christian Zionist Orde Wingate heard such snide comments too, as he lived in Eretz Yisrael (promised to all Twelve Tribes of Israel) and did all he could to help the Jews and didn’t permit the prejudice of some to hinder his God-given purpose.

Christian Zionist Orde Wingate respected Jews but recognized Joseph isn’t Jewish and that family fact, that historical/biblical detail, didn’t disturb those Jews around him with “intuitive doubts,” any more than those Jews on the 8 kibbutzim I’ve lived on (see From Toledo to Jerusalem) or my Torah-observant friends throughout Israel had any problem with my understanding of the Hebrew roots and Israelite origins of the Anglo-Saxon-Celtic peoples, and the Israeli leaders didn’t lose sleep over the fact that Herbert W. Armstrong believed the same with whom they met time and again, including former Mayor Teddy Kollek even presenting him (at a banquet in his honor in Jerusalem) with an Israeli sculpture of David (since Kollek knew Armstrong considered himself a scion of David through the British Royal Family).
