A California nonprofit dedicated to "teaching about Islam & Muslims" at U.S. high schools and college campuses features a board of advisors that is stacked with some of the most controversial activist professors in the field of Middle Eastern studies today. The imprimatur of these scholars may signal a troubling shift toward the support of proselytizing efforts and the further unraveling of Middle East Studies in America.

The board of Islamic Networks Group (ING) is a veritable Who's Who of Islamist apologists and activists. Leading the list is John Esposito, the founding director of the Saudi-funded Center for Muslim Christian Understanding at Georgetown University. He famously stated that the suicide-bombing Hamas organization engages in "honey, cheese-making, and home-based clothing manufacture."

Joining Esposito on the ING board is Sherman Jackson of the University of Michigan, who was a trustee at the North American Islamic Trust and worked with the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), both un-indicted co-conspirators in the U.S. v. Holy Land Foundation.

There's also Ingrid Mattson, a convert to Islam, who is a professor at the Hartford Seminary and president of the un-indicted co-conspirator ISNA. While much of her work is controversial, she is famous for a CNN chatroom interview in 2001 in which she stated that the radical Saudi Wahhabi ideology is "a reform movement" that "really was analogous to the European Protestant reformation."

Hamza Yusuf Hanson, who is not a scholar but sits on the ING board, publicly declared his own extremism at an ISNA convention. In 1991, he reportedly delivered a speech titled "Jihad is the Only Way" to the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), which is an arm of the radical organization Jamaat-i-Islami in Pakistan.

While Maha El-Genaidi, the founder, president and CEO of ING, does not appear openly to embrace radicalism, she reportedly has worked with the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), also an un-indicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case. El-Genaidi also participated in an event sponsored by the Muslim Students Association with Siraj Wahhaj, an un-indicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

ING's reach is wide. Its web site lists more than a dozen affiliated organizations in North America. They reflect a broad network involved in Islamic outreach (da'wa), otherwise known as proselytizing.

The list of ING affiliates includes such Muslim outreach organizations as: The Islamic Speakers Bureau of Nebraska; the Islamic Resource Group in Minnesota; the Islamic Education and Resource Network in Michigan; the Islamic Center of Cincinnati; the Organization of Islamic Speakers Midwest Illinois; the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta; the Kentucky Islamic Resource Group; the Islamic Speakers Bureau of San Diego; and the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Vancouver.

Because ING charges nothing for its campus speeches, hosts aren't deterred by financial needs. Thus, with a modest 2007 budget of $356,000, the latest figure available via public tax returns, ING made an astonishing 750 classroom visits in one year, a figure that doesn't include visits to churches, senior centers, corporations, and forums for policemen and healthcare workers. According to a recent ING newsletter, the group reached 14,000 students and adults after public schools and universities responded to a large-scale ING direct mail campaign.

ING also disseminates its message through the printed word. Access to the ING online store is now denied for reasons unknown, but a few of the organization's publications are available on the Internet. Among them is Arab and Muslim Stereotyping in American Popular Culture by Jack Sheehan, a former communications professor at Southern Illinois University who was also a visiting professor at Esposito's Center for Muslim Christian Understanding. Another title is Presenting Ramadan and Eid in Elementary School: Grades K-6 Kit for Parents and Teachers, designed to generate excitement about these Muslim holy days through art, music, and "lunar activities."

ING also appears to have created a curriculum about Islam for grades 7 through 12. It also appears that the State of California, at least at one point, used ING curriculum. However, the ING links on the California Department of Education website are now dead.

There is nothing even vaguely radical on the ING website. The organization's behavior appears to be consistent with its message of pluralism. One might only observe that the organization attempts to whitewash the radical strains of the religion (a common theme in the work of Esposito and Mattson).

Without challenging ING's freedom to preach, two important observations should be made.
First, it is now clear that some Middle Eastern Studies professors have ceased being observers of Islam and are now engaging in its propagation. Countless analysts have noted that Middle Eastern Studies professors substitute scholarship with apologia for radicalism. Still others openly agitate against the United States or Israel. However, it is rare to see scholars openly lend their support to proselytizing efforts of this kind.

It is too early to know whether the scholars on the ING board represent an anomaly or a trend. The motivations of Mattson and Sherman - both converts to Islam - are somewhat understandable. Esposito, a non-Muslim, is more of a mystery.

On a more practical level, elementary school, high school, or college administrators mulling a free visit from El-Genaidi's group should be forewarned about the academic engine that powers ING. ING's leading thinkers have a history of cavorting with apologists for radicalism-and the radicals themselves.

Jonathan Schanzer, an adjunct scholar at Campus Watch, is deputy executive director for the Jewish Policy Center, and author of Hamas vs. Fatah: The Struggle for Palestine (Palgrave, Nov 2008).

Beyond Babylon at Rocky Mountain National Park

The best $60 I ever spent on advertising! Baruch Hashem. Folks across America, on the highways and national parks (Badlands, Custer, Devil's Tower, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Flaming Gorge, Dinosaur, Rocky Mountain, etc.), were seen reading and even saying out loud, "Beyond Babylon" - and to many of them I was pleased to be able to give my Beyond Babylon cards to that pictures my book and on the back has David Ben-Ariel and my website address written. Happy Shavuot!

Passover and Pentecost Differences Settled!
The correct dates to observe God's holy days should not be a Church of God issue, having been settled by God thousands of years ago and preserved throughout the ages by faithful Jews.

The Oracles of God
God's empowered the Jews - despite themselves - to preserve His Word. They are the only people on Earth that God has blessed and ordained to fulfill such a calling! God will not retract His Word or renege on this gift and responsibility that He's graciously bestowed upon Judah.

The Pharisees
Who isn't aware of the sins of the Pharisees? Especially the Accuser of the Brethren? But does that mean the truths they teach, even if they don't live them, are no longer true?

On Monday, May 4, 2009, Mishkenot Sha'ananim and the Interreligious Coordinating Council in Israel hosted a briefing at Mishkenot Sha'anaim in Yemin Moshe, Jerusalem, for journalists with His Excellency, Monsignor Antonio Franco, Apostolic Nuncio to Israel, one week before the visit to Israel of Pope Benedikt XVI.

Lowell Gallin asked Monsignor Franco the following question:

"Your Excellency, My question concerns two dates in church history:

Today, May 4, 2009; and March 23, 1993, seventy six years ago.

Please, would you tell us why, on March 23, 1933, was the German Catholic Center Party, under the leadership of Monsignor Kass, ordered by the Vatican to cast the swing vote giving the Nazis the two thirds majority they needed in the Reichstag to pass Hitler's 'Enabling Act', destroying German parliamentary democracy and inaugurating the new Nazi dictatorship?

And would you please tell us why; until today, May 4, 2009, has the Vatican never excommunicated a single Nazi war criminal born Catholic, including Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himmler; church leaders who collaborated with the Nazis, such as Monsignor Tiso, ruler of the Nazi puppet state of Slovakia; and church leaders, such as Tirolean Bishop Aloys Hudel and Croatian priest Father Krunoslav Draganovic, who participated with many others in running the Berlin-Rome-Buenos Aires Ratlines, which smuggled hundred if not thousands of Nazi war criminals, and money and property they stole, out of Europe to Argentina and other havens of refuge at the end of World War Two?"

"THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES!"

They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious.
"Peace, peace," they say, when there is no peace.
(Jeremiah 8:11)

Apart from all the other horrendous costs involved, the forceful evacuation of the nearly 300 000 Israelis living today in their own, God-given Judea and Samaria, will cost enormous amounts of money - even if just $250.000 in compensation is paid for each house evacuated. Who will pay this enormous sum? The US with all her own financial upheavals? The Arabs? Who?

But even if a financial solution was to be found, which seems very unlikely indeed, the evacuation will not lead to peace. It will result in the destruction of Israel as Palestinian spokesmen from all factions - from Hamas to the Fatah - have made abundantly clear:

"[Hamas says] that Fatah has asked them to recognize Israel's right to exist and this is a big deception. For the one thousandth time, I want to reaffirm that we are not asking Hamas to recognize Israel's right to exist. Rather, we are asking Hamas not to do so because Fatah never recognized Israel's right to exist."

"We acknowledge that the PLO did recognize Israel's right to exist, but we are not bound by it as a resistance faction," (Mohammed Dahlan, PLO representative, The Jerusalem Post, 18/3/2009)

On May 14, 2009, under the headline "Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon Abbas Zaki: Two-State Solution Will Lead to the Collapse of Israel," MEMRI (www.memri.org) quoted PLO Ambassador Abbas Zaki as saying:
"They talk about a two-state solution, and when that is achieved... Even Ahmadinejad, leader of the rejectionists throughout the region, said he supports a two-state solution. Nobody fools anybody.

"With the two-state solution, in my opinion, Israel will collapse, because if they get out of Jerusalem, what will become of all the talk about the Promised Land and the Chosen People? What will become of all the sacrifices they made - just to be told to leave? They consider Jerusalem to have a spiritual status. The Jews consider Judea and Samaria to be their historic dream. If the Jews leave those places, the Zionist idea will begin to collapse. It will regress of its own accord. Then we will move forward."

"The PLO proceeds through phases, without changing its strategy. Let me tell you, when the ideology of Israel collapses, and we take, at least, Jerusalem, the Israeli ideology will collapse in its entirety, and we will begin to progress with our own ideology, Allah willing, and drive them out of all of Palestine." (Excerpts from an interview with PLO Ambassador to Lebanon Abbas Zaki, which aired on ANB TV on May 7, 2009.)

PLO and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmud Abbas recently said:

"A Jewish State, what is that supposed to mean? You call yourselves as you like, but I don't accept it, and I say so publicly."

Hamas covenant, Article Eight:
Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution: Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.

The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgment Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. Neither a single Arab country nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that. Palestine is an Islamic Waqf land consecrated for Moslem generations until Judgment Day. This being so, who could claim to have the right to represent Moslem generations till Judgment Day?
This is the law governing the land of Palestine in the Islamic Sharia (law) and the same goes for any land the Moslems have conquered by force, because during the times of (Islamic) conquests, the Moslems consecrated these lands to Moslem generations till the Day of Judgment.

Furthermore Yuval Diskin, head of Israel's General Security, the Shabak, has recently stated before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee as reported by The Jerusalem Post, 20 May 2009:

"Hamas control over the Gaza Strip will prevent any effective peace process from coming into fruition"

Diskin warned that there was a good chance that the situation could become more dire if Hamas emerges victorious in a West Bank election.

"If ballots were cast in the West Bank today, there is a chance that Hamas would win," he warned.

He warned that a victory for Hamas would "be seen as a second victory for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood in this area, and thus would have a dangerous impact on the whole region, including in neighboring countries."

Therefore, because 'the other side,' both so-called moderates and extremists, will only use the full withdrawal of Israel from all "occupied territories" - including Jerusalem - as a phase en route to destroying the hated Zionist State, Israel is not engaged in peace negotiations but in negotiating piece by piece her own imminent destruction.

Why, then, do Israeli politicians and commentators who must know these things still spout such self-destructive nonsense? Rather than speak the truth that is so obvious to all who still have the courage to think for themselves, they prefer to be politically correct in this sick and distorted world. They are afraid to stand apart from the PC crowd and to shout, like the courageous child of old about an emperor praised by all: "But the Emperor has no clothes, he is NAKED!"

So is this peace process! Not just naked and void of content, but mortally dangerous for little Israel.

By refusing to deal forcefully with Iran, the United States and Europe have, themselves, cut off any hope for true peace in the Middle East. Yet they simultaneously hold Israel back, forbidding her from taking care of the Iranian threat herself- though it would benefit all: the moderate Arab regimes, Europe and United States.

The argument put forward by both US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama that the eight years the Bush administration refused to talk to Iran produced no result, is utterly false and misleading.

The fact is that whatever Europe and the United States have done so far - and European leaders did engage Iran in dialogue, and even employed veiled threats - all has produced nothing. It was all too weak and halfhearted, proving not that we need more of these futile engagements, but that we need a firm and definite response before it is too late!

For too late it soon will be!

Build the Temple!

PA Peace Plan: Iran to Share Rule over Temple Mount
by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

Israel may find Iran as one of the administrators of the Temple Mount, according to a new Palestinian Authority plan reported Thursday by the Hebrew-language newspaper Haaretz. PA sources said giving up claims to the Temple Mount and handing over control to the 57-member Saudi-based Islamic Conference Organization is conditional on Israel’s agreeing to a final status agreement... more

************

It is Israel's fault, and the woeful neglect of Jews worldwide, that the bloody Vatican and murderous Islam both clamor to control the Temple Mount and usurp authority over Jerusalem.

May God send an earthquake to shake up the deplorable status quo and prepare the way for the Third Temple to signal to all that He has chosen the Temple Mount to serve as the TEMPLE Mount, to host a House of Prayer for All Peoples yearning to worship the God of Jacob.

Major Upheaval in Israel?
Will an EARTHQUAKE shake Israel to its foundations and rock the world? Would the destruction of the Western/Wailing Wall and the demolition of the "Dome of the Rock" and Al-Aksa mosques—by an ACT OF GOD—serve further notice that it's time to build the Temple?

Third Temple Coming Soon to Jerusalem!
"And let them make me a Sanctuary that I may dwell among them" (Ex. 25:8). This holy command in the Scriptures seems clear enough, so what's the problem? Why has Israel tolerated Jerusalem’s "abomination of desolation" — a Temple Mount without a Temple? Why haven't the religious leaders encouraged the people to do what they can in fulfilling this mitzva?

Jews Must Demand Rights to Temple Mount
During a 1995 Root and Branch lecture in Jerusalem, Professor Nahum Rakover, author and then Deputy Attorney General of Israel, publicly agreed with me that it isn't illegal for Christians or Jews to pray upon the Temple Mount, even though it is forcibly prevented by the police.

Jerusalem Day (Yom Yerushalayim)

Yom Yerushalayim - HaRav Tzvi Yehuda Kook

"It is impossible to forget that day," said HaRav Tzvi Yehuda Kook. "Well before it arrived, the situation in the city was tense. Many of the Yeshiva's students had enlisted in the fight. On the second day of the week, the twenty-sixth of Iyar, a student approached me on my way to the morning prayer at the Yeshiva. He told me that the war had begun, and that the Arab Legion was boasting that it would conquer all of Jerusalem. Rumors reached me about battles on the outskirts of the city. A friend phoned me and related in the name of HaRav Shlomo Goren, the Israel Defense Force's Chief Rabbi, that Tzahal units were advancing and getting closer to the Old City of Jerusalem. Nerve-trembling news. Each hour, expectation quickened.

One of the students who had enlisted raced back to the Yeshiva during an hour break and announced that tomorrow, with the Almighty's help, our paratroopers would reach the Kotel! All of us were filled with hope and trembling. On the fourth day of the week, an officer knocked on the door of my house. He had come with a message from HaRav Goren. 'The honored Rav is invited by the Chief Rabbi of the army to come to the Western Wall,' he announced. 'An armored car is waiting downstairs.'"

"HaRav David Cohen, the 'Nazir', zt"l, joined us on the way. He too had been invited by his son-in-law, HaRav Goren. The army car crept along amidst the multitudes thronging the streets of the city, thousands singing and dancing with tears of joy in their eyes over the liberation of Jerusalem."

"On the way, the officer told me that the moment the paratroopers reached the perimeter of the Kotel, an officer who was a student of our Yeshiva climbed to the top row of stones and unfurled the Israeli flag over the heights of the Western Wall. His commander promised him a reward for his deed, and asked him what he wanted. 'The greatest honor for me,' he answered, 'Is that you send an army rabbi to bring our teacher here, HaRav Tzvi Yehuda HaKohen Kook, the Rosh Yeshiva of Mercaz HaRav.'"

"The officer also told us that among the first to reach the Kotel was HaRav Goren, in the face of fire from Arab snipers, who continued to shoot from their places of hiding. He clutched a Torah scroll in one hand, and a shofar in the other. Fighters, who had survived furious battles, cried like children when they heard the blast of the shofar by the Chief Rabbi. They cherished his courage of heart, and his self- sacrifice, to remain all the time at the head of the battle, with the paratroopers who burst through from the Mount of Olives to the Western Wall."

"Many of our boys were wounded in the charge. To my question, through which gate of the Old City had they reached the Kotel, the familiar voice of a soldier from our Yeshiva said, 'Thank G-D. All of the gates are open.' Another student, a rabbi in the army, rushed up to me at the Kotel and told me that he had received permission from army command to hold the 'Mincha' prayer at the Wall. It was the first national prayer at the Kotel after a nineteen-hundred year separation! A prayer which was utter cleavage to G-D. Every eye was filled with tears. Soldiers prostrated themselves on the ground of the square. Others wedged their fingers between the stones of the Wall. Everyone chanted the Psalm, 'A Song of Ascent; When the L-RD brought back the exiles of Zion, we were like those who dream.'" "Before we left the liberated city, I was interviewed by radio and television reporters from Israel and from outside the Land. They wanted to know my opinion on what had transpired."

"'Behold,' I said. 'We announce to all of Israel, and to all of the world, that by a Divine command, we have returned to our home, to our holy city. From this day forth, we shall never budge from here! We have come home!'"

Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda Kook - A Biographical Overview

Celebrating Jerusalem - Land of Israel Day

From:
Women For Israel's Tomorrow (Women in Green)

Dear Friends,

Below please find the moving account of the liberation of Jerusalem by Rabbi Zvi Yehuda Kook followed by Michael Freund's article on the longest battle-Jerusalem.

It is important to remember though that we are not only celebrating 42 years since the liberation of Jerusalem, but also the liberation of the rest of our Biblical Homeland: Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the Golan.

The name "Jerusalem day" should really have been "The Land of Israel Day".

We, activists for the Land of Israel, must make sure to remind everyone that Jerusalem will stay united and undivided only if we keep all of Judea and Samaria in Jewish hands and under Jewish sovereignty. It is a package deal. Talks about freezing of settlements, or destruction of outposts are talks that endanger the very existence of Jerusalem as our eternal capital.

And thus, our message on this special and holy day is that for Jerusalem's sake, we must continue to build, settle and expand all over Israel; and especially in Judea , Samaria and the Golan.

We must mention that our celebration is not complete, for the Gaza Strip has been taken away from us, temporarily. On this day it is thus important we vow to to remember and to act in order to hasten the day where we will go back to all places in Gaza and Northern Shomron that have been given away to the enemy.

Happy Jerusalem-Land of Israel day,

Michael Freund: The Longest Battle - for Jerusalem

This Friday marks 42 years on the Hebrew calendar since Israeli forces liberated eastern Jerusalem and restored the Temple Mount and the Western Wall to Jewish hands. But with the passing of each year, it is hard to escape the gnawing feeling that the reunified city is increasingly coming under siege yet again. Never, it seems, has the pressure been so great for Israel to divide it and "share" it with our enemies.

As I argue in the column below from the Jerusalem, just like the Jews of centuries past we must not be deterred. Israel must continue to build, expanding Jewish Jerusalem whether our friends and foes like it or not.

Fundamentally Freund: The longest battle
May 20, 2009
Michael Freund, THE JERUSALEM POST

The emperor Vespasian must be rolling over in his grave. Some 19 centuries after the nefarious Roman ruler sent his legions to pillage Jerusalem under the command of his son Titus, the city once again serves as the united capital of a sovereign Jewish state.

It just goes to show what a difference two millennia can make. Back then, at the height of the struggle, the Romans were convinced of their own superiority. They looked down on the Jews with contempt, making light of their religious beliefs and military prowess, and confident that they would crush them once and for all.

In his book The Jewish War, the historian Josephus records the speech given by Titus to his men as he urged them to press forward in the battle for Jerusalem. "It is unbecoming you, who are Romans and my soldiers," Titus told them, "to be inferior to Jews, either in action of the hand, or in courage of the soul." He did not hesitate to assure them of "a certain and sudden victory," stressing the "immortality of those men who are slain in the midst of their martial bravery."

Interestingly, if you replace the word "Romans" with "jihadists," Titus starts to sound a lot like an ancient version of a Hamas or al-Qaida operative.

The Romans, of course, did eventually prevail, murdering some 1.1 million Jews during the siege and destruction of Jerusalem and taking another 97,000 into captivity, many of whom were either sold into slavery or fed to the lions.

The Jewish commonwealth was snuffed out, the long and dark exile began and the Temple and its sacred daily rituals were abruptly taken from us. Nonetheless, despite the devastating blow which the Jewish people were dealt, here we are in 2009, preparing once again to celebrate Yom Yerushalayim.

THIS FRIDAY marks 42 years on the Hebrew calendar since that wonderful day back in 1967 when Israel liberated the Old City and proudly raised the blue-and-white over the Temple Mount.

What the Romans sought to quash forever has miraculously come back to life, and we must be grateful to God for the mercy He has shown in bringing about our wondrous return.

And yet, even as commemorate this very special day, it is hard not to escape the gnawing feeling that with each passing year, the reunified city of Jerusalem is increasingly coming under siege yet again. Never, it seems, has the pressure been so great, with most of the world demanding that we "share" or "internationalize" the city, and criticizing even the most mundane of governmental actions regarding Jerusalem.

Earlier this month, for example, the UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs released a special report slamming Israel for demolishing Palestinian homes built without permits in the eastern part of the city. This was followed by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon blasting the Jewish state publicly for its policies in this regard. And back in March, during her visit to the region, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also highlighted the issue of house demolitions, saying that they were "not in keeping with the obligations entered into under the road map."

Where else in the world does the enforcement of local building codes generate such condemnation? It is a sign of how obsessed the international community has become with twisting our collective arm to redivide the city in order to make way for a Palestinian state.

Indeed, they want nothing less than to see a Palestinian flag flying over Jerusalem. How will we ever be able to withstand such pressure? In this respect, it is worth recalling an episode that took place more than a century ago here in Jerusalem, one that contains within it the key to ensuring our continued control over the Holy City.

ON LAG BA'OMER in 1869, the cornerstone was laid for Nahalat Shiva, the first Jewish neighborhood of Jerusalem built outside the walls of the Old City. Two of the main people behind its establishment were Rabbi Yosef Rivlin and Rabbi Yoel Moshe Salomon, and they were aided in their efforts by Rabbi Meir Auerbach and Rabbi Binyamin Beinish Salant (who was the son of Jerusalem's chief rabbi at the time, Rabbi Shmuel Salant, a relative of mine).

By 1875, some 50 Jewish families were living in the area. As author Dovid Rossof recounts in his wonderful book, Where Heaven Touches Earth: Jewish Life in Jerusalem From Medieval Times to the Present, the community quickly came under intense pressure from its Arab neighbors. One night, Rivlin was awakened to the sounds of a commotion. When he looked through the window, he saw a group of Arab men mulling about. Their leader exhorted them, "Remember! Slaughter them all and then take their lumber!" Dozens of Arabs armed with clubs, daggers and guns rapidly approached the entrance to the neighborhood, preparing to attack.

Rivlin reached for his gun and his shofar. He stood by the window and concentrated deeply for several seconds, before bringing the shofar to his lips and blowing the notes that are sounded on Rosh Hashana. He took a breath and then fired a shot out the window, before proceeding to blow the shofar yet again.

Suddenly, the Arabs were struck with terror. "Run for your lives!" one shouted hysterically. "The Jews are killing us!" yelled another, and the group fled in panic and disarray. Later, the residents learned that the Arabs had planned to kill them all and take their possessions.

"This time," Rivlin told his neighbors, "The Lord was with us. Let us pray that the fear which God put into them will keep them away from us forever."

Just as it was over a century ago, Jerusalem is again under siege. And just as our adversaries then sought to remove the Jewish presence from parts of the city, they now seek to do so once more. But like the residents of Nahalat Shiva, we must not be deterred. They continued to build, expanding Jewish Jerusalem whether their foes liked it or not. And that too must be our guide.

Whether it is the E1 project connecting Jerusalem and Ma'aleh Adumim, or the nascent Jewish neighborhoods near the Beit Orot yeshiva and the Tomb of Shimon Hatzaddik, it is essential that Israel continue to develop these areas. They will strengthen our capital and reinforce its Jewish majority, safeguarding the city and preventing it from ever being divided. Even in the face of American and Arab opposition, we must press forward with these important plans.

By doing so, we can ensure that Jerusalem will remain ours, never again to be taken away. The last laugh will belong neither to Vespasian or to Titus, nor even their modern-day surrogates, but rather to the descendants of Judah whom they sought to destroy - which is, after all, as it should be.

IDF "ABUSES": A CASE STUDY OF MSM COVERAGE

IDF "ABUSES": A CASE STUDY OF MSM COVERAGE
The Columbia Journalism Review has published a fascinating case study of how the Israeli and Western news services handled the debunked allegations of IDF abuses in Gaza. The CJR traces how Danny Zamir's transcripts of the soldiers' unverified stories made their way first into Ha'aretz, Ma'ariv and Israel's Channel 10, and from there, into the Western mainstream media (MSM).

Christians honor Israel

Christians honor Israel at Sunday services
WASHINGTON (JTA) -- More than 900 churches in the United States participated in a Christian Zionist organization's event honoring Israel.

CUFI Sunday, sponsored by Christians United For Israel, was incorporated into the regular Sunday church service.

Although varying from church to church, the service generally included a sermon about the Jewish state and a request to sign the group's "Israel Pledge." The pledge states that the Jewish people "have a right to live in their ancient land of Israel" and that Israel has the right to defend itself from terrorism.

Churches from all 50 states, and a total of 1,100 churches in 49 countries, participated in the event, according to CUFI...

Jerusalem Post letters

Terrorist Bombing

Sir, - “Nobody in the government and nobody who believes in democracy is ever going to give in to this people, not now, not tomorrow, not in 100 years, not in 1,000 years and not on this side of hell and hell is where these people ought to be.”
A Knesset member's outburst after another terrorist attack? No, rather it's Northern Ireland's Minister Richard Weedham blasting the IRA's recent hospital bombing.
Perhaps Messrs. Bush and Baker will rush to the scene and convene another “peace” conference before this “intransigent” fellow fouls up their plans for a “new world order....”

Expulsion of Palestinians

Sir, - Mass expulsion of Palestinians without howls of protest and world condemnation? Yes, but unfortunately, only in the Gulf States. The UN obviously understands that such decisive acts are preventive measures to ensure national security from subversive elements who flout their support for their blood-brother Saddam Hussein.
If only Israel would express such logic and concern for its personal health and national welfare...

Pat Buchanan is wrong, Meir Kahane is right!

Bibi and Israel at A Dead End
By Patrick J. Buchanan
If there are no peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians for an independent Palestinian state, war next year is inevitable. So King Abdullah II of Jordan has told the London Times. Whether the king's timetable is correct, endless cold war, erupting into hot wars, seems the fate of Israel if "Bibi" Netanyahu holds to his pledge never to allow a Palestinian state on the West Bank.

**********

Pat Buchanan is dead wrong: Israel isn't at a dead end but at a crossroads. Israel can continue the lying peace process, enable the war of attrition to continue, dismember more of the Jewish Homeland for Nazi Muslim beasts (who will never be satisfied with nothing less than all of it) or acknowledge Meir Kahane was right.

America has a history of being Bible-believers when it comes to recognizing that it's the Holy Land of Israel, not some accursed "Palestine" - it's the Promised Land of Israel, not Ishmael!

Who are these vain fools to suggest a "two state solution" when our Great Creator God reveals His one state solution of Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates? When will these mortal men learn to submit to the Word and Will of God? What chutzpah for Arab countries to threaten Israel when they've lost every war they foolishly started?

Meir Kahane was right: Israel must expel their sworn enemies and immediately annex the liberated biblical territories! If some Nazi Muslim kamikazes choose to die for their moon god, so be it. It's past time Israel win their war against terrorism and enforce peace through strength.

The real meeting between Bibi and Barack

FRIENDLESS PERSUASION - BARAK MEETS BIBI
by Barry Chamish

Here is a short overview of the Netanyahu-Obama press conference from someone who has attended other such rigged Presidential events in Israel.

We begin in 1978 at the press conference of Prime Minister Begin and Vice President Walter Mondale outside Begin's office in Jerusalem. Back then, the "sophisticated" rigging hadn't begun in earnest and I got to ask Mondale a question. Anwar Sadat had visited Jerusalem the year before and I had followed his tour as a press aide for John Keesler of the Miami Sun. Since then, President Carter made sure that Sadat got everything he demanded and Israel got nothing physical in return.

Now back then I didn't know the game was fixed or that Carter was a member of the Council On Foreign Relations (CFR) or that Mondale was not only a CFR member but also a founding partner of the new sister organization The Tri-Lateral Commission.

If I had only known I would have framed my question differently. What I saw was an ever-smiling dope who clearly despised Begin, but portrayed himself as the friendly uncle here for a visit with his good pal, the leader of Israel. That, I saw through and asked him, "Are you more sympathetic to the Israeli or Egyptian negotiating position?" or words to that exact effect.

Wally dropped his smile, and answered the inexperienced reporter, as if dismissing him outright, "We don't take sides. We are objective."

Yeah, sure you were. Within a year Israel had signed away every inch of the Sinai and received a "peace" treaty abrogated by Egypt in half a generation. Today, Egypt doesn't have to risk its soldiers fighting Israel; it just supplies Hamas with Sinai-smuggled weapons and lets them do the dirty work.

But to understand what Netanyahu had to endure in his conference with Obama, we must go to Yitzhak Rabin's joint press conference in Jerusalem with Pres. Bill Clinton of the CFR. As fate would playfully have it, I made friends at the event with a Canadian Christian journalist, who lived in Samaria, recently departed, Grant Livingstone. After the horrific conference was over, he drove me home and thereafter became a close confident and supporter of my work.

Grant overcame the odds and triumphed before Clinton and the world.

The Oslo "peace" Accord was signed the year before and Rabin, without exaggeration, was thoroughly hated by a majority of his people. And that would have to be hidden at all costs. This press conference was staged to remove all signs of Israeli opposition to Rabin, Clinton and Oslo. I sat in the second row, one row back and two away from Secretary of State Warren Christopher (CFR). I looked at his otherworldly face, noticed his ghastly wingtip shoes, and determined he was an alien from a far off galaxy. Of course, that was my imagination. Only much later did we determine that it was true.

As Rabin and Clinton entered the room, not one Israeli got off his chair, but the entire White House press corps rose to their feet and gave them both an extended and phoney standing ovation, as they must have been instructed to do. These clowns were pre-chosen to be the "reporters" for Clinton's trip.

There were two mikes set up for reporters and I saw two Israel tv hacks stand behind each one. I got the message and stood behind one, second in line behind TV "reporter" Emmanuel Halperin. Grant saw what I did and got up to be third in line. My question would be about the Syrian diplomatic process, and Grant wouldn't tell me what he was planning to ask. So while Clinton and Rabin read their prepared statements, I edited my question to the basics on, as I recall, a found napkin.
Then the press questions began and not one was aimed at the open mikes. Instead, Clinton would point at a reporter, name him, and take the "unexpected" questions. "Yes Mary, do you have a question?" he asked. And the tiny old hag asked, "Yes, Mr. President. How would you characterize your trip so far?" And that was the toughest question he fielded all night. I drifted off as the endless session continued. "Helen Thomas here. Mr. President, how did you sleep last night," I imagined in the blur of trivia.

Rabin was asked one, maybe two questions but I caught what I thought was obvious to everyone. He was drunk. His feet swaggered, he slurred his words, and he held onto the podium for balance. It was a highly disturbing sight. And though it WAS noticed after, no one wrote a word of upsetting journalism about Rabin's drunken performance.
Clinton's arm must have been worn out from fielding marshmallows because finally, he agreed to accept questions from the mike. At the opposite mike, an Israeli reporter threw Rabin a softball. After his longwinded inebriated reply, the conference host announced that the next question would be the last. I turned to Grant and said, "We've been set up."

He pushed Halperin away and asked Clinton, "As a Christian, aren't you afraid of the final price you'll pay for forcing Israel to cede land to murderers?"
Silence, followed by a shocked murmur that spread through the White House "reporters!" Clinton's face turned crimson. Hesitating, he started to answer just as the host announced that the press conference was over. Grant unrigged the show.

The whole nation was watching the conference and as we walked to his car people recognized him, congratulated him and actually applauded him. And not a word was written about the man nor the question that blew apart the choreographed press fiasco of Oslo, Rabin and Clinton.

The Obama-Netanyahu conference was even more staged than this. The room was small, the reporters handpicked and left standing for the cameras, for whatever psychological advantage there is in that. Netanyahu and Obama sat in a one on one "friendly" discussion. Netanyahu was clearly previously threatened and his face was ashen, but Obama was not in a nice mood either.

He wanted to start on giving away the ship to the Palestinians, while Netanyahu desired an Iran first diplomacy. But, he reiterated, Israel will not surprise America with an attack. Like it could. To get to Iran, Israeli planes would have to overfly American-held Iraq, or America's ally Saudi Arabia, at which point it would find itself in a dogfight with the American Air Force. Big concession.

They both stared each other down as each spoke and they found excuses to be in agreement on anything available. But they fooled no one. It's endgame for Israel time and Netanyahu tried to delay Obama's final diplomacy. But so did Begin, and Carter forced him to betray his ideals. But so did Rabin, and Clinton got him to betray Israel's basic security.

Now it's Netanyahu's turn and give it time, Obama will make him betray his country or Israel is doomed to be friendless in this world.

That was the not so rigged message of the Obama-Netanyahu choreographed press conference.

Where's the Birth Certificate?

Where's the Birth Certificate?
Would you like to see more awareness of the serious questions about Barack Obama's eligibility to serve as president of the United States? Are you frustrated by the lack of media coverage of this constitutional issue? How would you like to join in a campaign to generate public debate and discussion?

WND, the only news agency in the world that has relentlessly pounded the eligibility questions, is ready to up the ante – with your help.

The idea is to make sure Obama cannot avoid this question any longer. He must be asked to produce it at every turn. Billboard space is currently being negotiated in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Sacramento, San Francisco, New York-New Jersey, Des Moines, Seattle and other metro areas.

"I wish such a campaign were not absolutely necessary," said Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND. "I wish there were checks and balances in our political and electoral systems to ensure that constitutional eligibility of presidential candidates was established before politicians could assume the highest office in the land. I wish my colleagues in the news media believed the Constitution really means what it says and pressed this issue as hard as we have pressed it at WND. I wish radio talk-show hosts were bold enough to ask this question. But wishing is not enough. It's time to raise the visibility of this issue vital to the rule of law in America. I ask everyone to pitch in and help WND make a simple yet profound statement: The Constitution still matters."

WND previously launched a petition campaign that has collected more than 370,000 names demanding Obama's eligibility be verified and demonstrated publicly. That campaign continues. That list has been shared with members of the Electoral College and the chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

(Donations are not tax-deductible. Donations of amounts greater than $1,000 can be arranged by calling either 541-474-1776 or 1-800-4WNDCOM. In addition, donations of billboard space will be accepted, as will significant contributions specifically targeted for geographic locations.)

Press Release
Jewish Activists Organize against a "Two State Solution"
PRESS CONFERENCE
Wednesday, May 20th at 5 pm
At JFK Airport, terminal 4, Fourth Floor

Major activists on behalf of the Land of Israel are organizing to declare that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people for over 3,000 years and should not be negotiated away. The Bible provides the clearest proof that this Land was given to the Jewish people and throughout history no other nation or people ever built a state within its borders. From the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and until 1948, no people ever claimed that this was their land except the Jewish people. The notion that this land is "Palestinian" is an egregious mistake based on ignorance of history.

The purpose of this grassroots effort is to educate the world to this fact: the Land of Israel has been connected with the Jewish people for over three millennia and no other people has a right to this Land. The Arabs are among those who invaded the Land and have no legal rights to establish a sovereign nation within the borders of the Land. This was recognized by the Balfour declaration and confirmed by the League of Nations. The new-found idea that the Land belongs to any other nation is a new idea which has as its aim the separation of the true owner from its land. We also should remember the soldiers who fell fighting for this Land and the sacrifices of the pioneers who built what is now a flourishing land and country.

This grassroots effort is also directed at all major Jewish organizations calling upon them to reaffirm unequivocally their commitment to the Jewish People's Biblical Heritage and its unbreakable bond with the Land. Major concepts, principles and precepts that are at the foundation of all civilizations have their origins in the Bible. The activists have now reached more than 30,000 people residing all over the world and who are in contact via email. We have circulated a petition to formally request that all Major Religious Jewish Organizations, and especially those committed to the Torah, express a clear message, that the Land of Israel is our Heritage from Biblical times and that the Jewish people oppose ceding any part of Biblical Israel to any foreign nation. The tragedy of Gush Katif (the withdrawal from Gaza) must not be repeated. The letter may be accessed via this link, Letter to Religious Jewish Organizations.

Featured speakers include Rabbi Chaim Richman from the Temple Institute in Jerusalem, Rabbi Algaze from The World Committee for the Land of Israel, Rabbi Moshe Goldsmith - Mayor of Itamar, Shomron and Morton Klein of the Zionist Organization of America. We will also hear greetings and blessings from Rabbanim and political leaders in Israel .

We proclaim that we are partners with the settlement enterprise to proudly settle and protect the Holy Land, the Land of our Ancestors, in Judea and Samaria and throughout the entire Promised Land and do not reject our Biblical birthright - our precious gift from G-d.

Entrance from rear of building. Park by Blue Parking and bring your parking ticket so that the Jewish Chaplain, Rabbi Rackman, will have it validated for 4 hours of free parking. "The mutually beneficial US-Israel relationship"

This monologue by Professor Paul Eidelberg aired on Israel National Radio on March 16, 2009.

For anti-Zionists it is an article of faith that US aid to Israel is the only thread keeping the "artificial colonial apartheid-state" alive, and that the US receives little or nothing for its investment. The truth is more complicated. US aid to Israel in 2006 accounted for only 1.3% of Israel's GDP, hardly a decisive sum. Moreover, 74% of that money is required to be spent on the US arms industry creating American jobs. When you factor in Israeli advances in research and development, weapons testing and intelligence, the relationship is a net gain for America in all senses.

"The mutually beneficial US-Israel relationship"

************
It's in Israel's best interest to declare economic independence regardless if we both scratch each others' back, as allies are known to do. The American tax-payers' money is going to all the wrong people for all the wrong reasons, and if aid continues it should be earmarked for truly Jewish groups and organizations - not the corrupt Israeli oligarchy controlled government of thieves and murderers.

The racist president-usurper Soetoro/Obama is doing all he can to abort America's future, in every way possible. Justice demands Obama must be stopped! Law and order must be preserved. It's past time to enforce our Constitution!

Hitler Will Judge Us!
It used to be a country’s worst enemies who ripped up their pregnant women—now we’ve turned on ourselves. Don't abort our future: Think twice, choose life, let love grow.

Abortion: Blood of Innocents (Jeremiah 7:31)
The cult of Choice is the worst symptom evident in society of the Hellenist disease. It sacrifices children upon the hedonistic altars of convenience and irresponsibility in an immoral and idolatrous way. It disguises itself as progressive and enlightened, but it is actually a dark throwback to the pagan rituals performed in the Valley of Hinnom: the holocaust of children that the prophet Jeremiah condemned (Jeremiah 7:31).

Two State Solution?

Two State Solution?

Two State Solution ?

I was listening to two Israeli Knesset members arguing about the "Two State Solution" on TV last night. Most folks just won't admit that the Palestinians are not prepared or able to build a modern, democratic state that could live in peace with a Jewish State of Israel. And yet, even to my ears, the supporter of the Two State Solution seemed to be a "nicer person". She was totally naive but there's something appealing about a dreamer. The problem was that her dream was a self-delusional fantasy. Thinking about that lead me to do today's cartoon.

There's an online "SAY NO TO U.S. PRESSURE ON ISRAEL" Petition. It's been put up by the Stand With Us people. It opposes "U.S. pressure on Israel for premature concessions that will put Israeli security at risk". To see the petition click here.

Lying Visions of Peace
The lying peace process exposes how Jews refuse to accept Israel as a Jewish state, and how Jews are willing to sacrifice each other and sell out the Land and People of Israel if the price is right: both political and religious leaders are guilty of these sins that stink to High Heaven.

Europe won't nuke America?

Re: Europe Nukes US! (David Ben-Ariel YouTube video)
BEYOND BABYLON warns we're going down and out due to our idolatry and immorality.

zanderzander05
im confused...do you dislike europe? like it? or are you just saying that america has downhill due to wrong beliefs.

by the way, Europe, as a collective group of countries, is so diversified that i am willing to bet anything that they would never 'nuke' america.

you should also take into account deterrence theory.

could you please direct me to where it says that europe is going to nuke america in the bible, im interested to read this for myself

I love Europe enough to dare to share the plain truth of the Bible and history with them.

I've been through Europe four times and know their diversity but also recognize they will transcend their differences when their back is against the wall - a real or imagined crisis that will coerce them to get their act together and work as one under some strong leader who has the pope's "blessing."

The deterrence theory is just a theory and whether or not the Nazi EU agents are able to disable our deterrence or they feel it's worth the risk with a blitzkrieg attack, Germany's Fourth Reich will nuke us.

Israeli settlements must grow!

Israel has every legal and biblical right to maintain and expand their Jewish pioneering communities ("settlements") in the Holy Land of Israel. After all, isn't it the Promised Land of Israel, not Ishmael? Both the Bible and even the accursed Koran acknowledge this plain truth.

All Israeli governments since 1967 have held that Israeli settlements are legal according to the 1907 Hague Convention that permits the administering authority to utilize public land and to enjoy its "usufruct" ("fruits").12 Moreover, Israeli governments have consistently argued that the 1949 Fourth Geneva Convention, especially Article 49 which deals with population transfer, has no legal applicability to the West Bank and Gaza, where there was no recognized sovereign power before the entry of Israeli forces on 5 June 1967.
- "DOES THE INTERNATIONAL NEWS MEDIA OVERLOOK ISRAEL'S LEGAL RIGHTS IN THE PALESTINIAN- ISRAELI CONFLICT?

It is imperative that there begins, today, a campaign among world Jewry to explain the full extent of the Arab hatred and danger. The complete truth must be told to the masses of good Jews both to justify the need to remove the Arabs and to expose the dangers of the liberal Establishment bloc.

Germany will lead New World Order

Will U.S. financial woes lead to new world order?
By Adam Abrams

Is the U.S. about to lose its status as the dominant global superpower? Will the dollar collapse? If so, what would become the new global reserve currency and what would replace U.S. hegemony in a new world order?

************

Germany to the rescue! Watch as the German-dominated European Union is forced to get its act together to put China in check and demand the global position once enjoyed by the United States.

Such a United States of Europe amounts to nothing less than Germany's Fourth Reich, as Herbert W. Armstrong forewarned for years and Beyond Babylon: Europe's Rise and Fall continues to warn.
