Progress Intensifies Ahead of Papal Visit

JERUSALEM, APRIL 24, 2009 (Zenit.org).- Ahead of Benedict XVI's visit to the Holy Land, members of the Israel-Holy See Bilateral Permanent Working Commission report that "meaningful" progress is being made to conclude their agreements.

A working-level meeting of the commission met Thursday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem to continue negotiations on the economic agreement regarding the fiscal system and Church properties.

"The meeting was characterized by great cordiality and a spirit of cooperation," stated a communiqué published jointly by the Holy See and Israel.

"Meaningful progress was achieved by receiving a report from a working group, and the delegations renewed their joint commitment to conclude the agreement as soon as possible," the note affirmed.

The commission will meet for a plenary session next Thursday at Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Since signing the Fundamental Agreement in 1993, which established diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Israel, the two sides have been negotiating the particulars of tax exemptions and property rights for the Church, in particular for the holy sites. Talks stopped altogether in 2003 for several years, and began again in 2005.

While the negotiations have nothing officially to do with Benedict XVI's visit to the Holy Land, which will take place May 8-15, sources in the Vatican explain that Israel is interested in the good image the Pope's visit can give to the nation, and the Church is interested in consolidating its presence in the Holy Land.

After days of prayer and fear among Jews and good people everywhere, the horrible reality of the Islamic terrorist rampage in Mumbai was revealed in all its obscene and mindless savagery when members of Zaka entered the Chabad compound.

As an eyewitness told YNET, the sight was unbearable even to the practiced eyes of those whose job it is to deal with the aftermath of murderous terror attacks:

"The place was totally destroyed. Live grenades were all over the floor. Torah scrolls and holy books were scattered on the floor, covered with blood."

The bodies of the Chabad rabbi and the kashrut supervisor were found in one room, along with two other men whose hands had been tied with telephone wire. The body of the Rabbi's young wife Rivkie was found covered in a tallit. It is believed she was killed before her young husband's eyes and he wrapped her in his tallit.

Police in Mumbai report that they found enough ammunition to blow up both hotels and to kill thousands, which according to a terrorist captured alive, was the intention. This carefully planned attack, which had the Chabad House at its center, was orchestrated from Pakistan. Vilasrao Deshmukh, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra state, of which Bombay is the capital, was quoted yesterday as saying there were two "British-born Pakistanis" among the terrorists, reports he later denied. A British Pakistani was involved in a terror attack in Israel at Mike's Place not long ago.

The Mail Online reports "a banned Islamic terrorist group funded with cash raised in British mosques is believed to be behind the Mumbai attacks." The Mail reports: "The only terrorist captured alive after the Mumbai massacre has given police the first full account of the extraordinary events that led to it - revealing he was ordered to 'kill until the last breath'.

Azam Amir Kasab, 21, from Pakistan, said the attacks were meticulously planned six months ago and were intended to kill 5,000 people. He revealed that the ten terrorists, who were highly trained in marine assault and crept into the city by boat, had planned to blow up the Taj Mahal Palace hotel after first executing British and American tourists and then taking hostages.

"These descriptions brought back flashbacks to me of the Park Hotel which was rocked by a murderous explosion by Hamas terrorists right before the Seder began. Perhaps it is impossible for the average human being to understand the depth of evil represented by Muslim extremists and their supporters if you didn't witness such a thing. I deal with this in my book, The Covenant. But I feel that I am whistling in the wind. People who have not seen this with their own eyes just refuse to understand that these are not people with grievances, people who can be reasoned with. These people are Nazis. Only if you think you can speak to a Nazi and convince him to not wish to kill Jews, can such a stand make sense.

No one should negotiate with any person, government official, religious leader, or member of any group that does not condemn and despise and excoriate these terrorists. No respect should be given to any religion, or member of that religion, or religious leader who does not despise and condemn these acts. When one views the bloody floor of Chabad House, one sees the bloodied face of civilization. Those who are not prepared to exterminate this evil, and those who are involved in it, are part of it.

Eyewitness Jonathan Ehrlich, a businessman who narrowly escaped death in Mumbai, sent out an e-mail of his experiences. In conclusion, he writes this: The people who did this have no souls. They have no hearts. They are simplythe living manifestation of evil and they only know killing and murder. We - all of us - need to understand that. Their target tonight was first and foremost Americans. Why? Because they fear everything that America stands for. They fear hope and change and freedom and peace. Let's make no mistake; they would have shot me and my children point blank tonight without a moment's hesitation. Most of us sorta know that but sometimes we equivocate. We can't equivocate. I made a point of visiting the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam years ago, as I traveled throughout Europe en route to Israel.

The Nazis are about as Christian as Communists, Socialists and the erev ra are Jewish.

There is nothing new under the sun, as far as the Twelve Tribes of Israel haven't always acted like family, especially when you consider the biblical account of the "holocaust" against Benjamin and how the first time the word Jews is used in the Bible it is when the Northern Kingdom of Israel, allied with Syria, fought against the Jews! (Further proof that Joes and Jews are not one and the same, regardless of those who would remain in denial of the biblical distinction between Jews and Israelites).

The question of transferring Arabs out of the land will drive them to a frenzied condemnation of Israeli policy. Their danger is their influence on large numbers of simple, good American and Western Jews.

The simplistic and demagogic use of labels such as "immoral", "inhumane", "un-Jewish", and "Nazi-like" is likely to find a troubled, sympathetic ear with the ordinary, decent Jew. Thus, we will pay for all the years of deceit and delusions. For all those decades Jewish and Israeli leaders refused to tell the truth about the remedy of the Arab problem in the Land of Israel. They preferred to avoid it and to lie to world Jewry. It is not surprising that any sudden policy that calls for transfer of the Arabs will meet with astonishment and guilt. It is imperative that there begins, today, a campaign among world Jewry to explain the full extent of the Arab hatred and danger. The complete truth must be told to the masses of good Jews both to justify the need to remove the Arabs and to expose the dangers of the liberal Establishment bloc.

The Jewish opposition from within - that is the obstacle to successful transfer of Arabs and the saving of the Jewish state. There is no gentile problem, only the Jewish one of self-destruction.

The problem in the Jew who stupidly equates the transfer of Arabs with Hitler's genocide of the Jews, as if we were advocating gas chambers or the killing of the Arabs in any form. As if the separation of Jews and Arabs will not save Arab and Jewish lives both! As if it is not precisely the policy of the perverted moralists that will lead eventually to the horrible bloodbath the Jewish realists see all too well!

How outrageously dishonest is the equation. How they cheapen and demean the terrible historical uniqueness and horror of the Holocaust, those intellectual dwarfs who equate it with any event they cannot abide! Did the Jews of Germany say that the land was really theirs, stolen from them by the Germans and that they would work until the day they became the majority and take the land and make it "Judea"? If they did, the Jews of Hitler's time can be equated with the Arabs. Did the Jews of Europe massacre Germans, rape their women, burn their settlements, and vow to drive them into the sea? If they did, Europe's Jews and Israel's Arabs are the same. And if they did-if Germany's Jews killed Germans and sought to take their state from them - Germans would have been justified in removing them from Germany and saving their country. But if, as really happened, the Jews sought, not to destroy Germany, not to separate from Germany, not to be independent of Germany, but to be good, loyal, fervent, assimilated Germans, then what the Germans did was horrible, and what the Jews who equate the murderous Arabs with the murdered Jews do is obscene. With no apologies, no defensiveness, no hesitation, the Jew rejects with contempt the gentilized Hebrews and the neo-Hellenists. He knows the Jewish response to threats to destroy people and state: "If one comes to slay you, slay him first" (Sanhedrin, 72d). "Do not be overly righteous" (Ecclesiastes 7). "Said Rabbi Shimon ben Lakish: He who becomes merciful unto the cruel is destined to be cruel unto the merciful."

How cruel are the overly righteous, the carriers of perverted morality, the unthinking, the gentilized. How many Jewish women and children will die because of the mercy of the overly righteous to the cruel? The foolish children, the twisted adults, all calling in the name of "humanity" for the destruction of the Jewish state - they will be the problem, nothing else.

Europe of Right-Wing Extremists (II) 2008/09/17 COLOGNE/ANTWERP/VIENNA (Own report) - At an international congress to be held in Cologne over the coming weekend, right-wing extremist parties, from several EU nations, will seek to consolidate their cooperation. The chairman of "Pro-Koeln," which is organizing the congress, announced that the "intermediate" objective is the founding of a "European right-wing party." Among the participants are organizations from Belgium (Vlaams Belang), the FPÖ (Austrian Freedom Party - AFP) and the Italian (Lega Nord). The European right-wing party, whose German partner is yet to be determined - even the Nationalist Party of Germany (NPD) is in consideration - is supposed to field candidates for the European parliamentary elections and constitute a parliamentary group once elected. The campaign focuses on the fight against Islam. This campaign is using the animosity prevalent also outside of right-wing extremist circles that is being strongly fomented in the context of the "war on terror." This could "possibly lead to an electoral success of the prospective right-wing party," according to Alexander Haeusler, an expert on right-wing extremism in a discussion with german-foreign-policy.com. The new structure, to be extended to all of Europe, is based upon the old tradition of collaboration with Nazi Germany. Vichy "Well over 100 European parliamentarians" will be participating in the "Anti-Islamization Congress" organized by the "Citizen's Movement Pro Koeln (Pro Cologne)," which is due to open next Friday and climax in a rally in downtown Cologne on Saturday. The announced speakers will be from the Belgian Vlaams Belang Party, the Austrian Freedom Party (AFP), the Lega Nord, a coalition partner in the Italian government and the Front National from France. Alongside prominent strategists of European right-wing extremism, such as Jean-Marie Le Pen (Chairman of the Front National in France), Andreas Moelzer (EU Parliamentarian of Austria's AFP) and Filip Dewinter (Chairman of Belgium's Vlaams Belang parliamentary group in the Flemish Parliament), Henry Nitzsche a member of the German Bundestag is also scheduled to appear. Nitzsche, who currently is independent of the parliamentary party groups in the German parliament, had been expelled from the Christian Democratic group, after using an electoral slogan taken from the French Vichy collaborator government and having expressed opinions characterized in his former party as "first class NPD statements."[1] Markus Beisicht, Chairman of the "Citizen's Movement Pro Koeln" will also address the rally on Saturday. Successful "Pro Koeln," seen as one of Germany's most successful the right-wing extremist organizations, is pursuing "a relatively new strategy" according to information furnished by Alexander Haeusler of the "Arbeitsstelle Neonazismus" at the Technical University of Duesseldorf. "Pro Koeln" has to its advantage that, since 2001, "terrorist Islamism (...) is falsely equated with Islam, as a religion in public discourse."[2] This provides the opportunity for the organization to "propagandistically take up a theme" that is "a subject that public opinion already considers anxiety-provoking." "Pro Koeln" agitates primarily against Islam and seeks to portray itself as a "civic movement" - not without success. The association was voted onto the city council with nearly five percent of the votes in the last local elections. The majority of the leading "Pro Koeln" functionaries clearly have a right-wing extremist background. Some of them come from the "Deutsche Liga für Volk und Heimat" ("German League for Folk and Homeland"), one had been active in the NPD youth organization, still others had been with the "Republikaner." "Pro Koeln" functionaries accorded interviews to various right-wing extremist journals and were on several occasions on hand for the NPD in events and discussions.[3] Network The "Civic Movement Pro Koeln" has been systematically extending its field of operations. At the beginning of 2007, it founded a subsidiary, the "Civic Movement Pro NRW" that is covering the entire state of North Rhine Westphalia. A nationwide expansion ("Civic Movement Pro Germany") is not to be ruled out, but for the moment it has a hesitant start. Since 2007 "Pro Koeln" has also been systematically extending its contacts abroad - because decisive forces of European right-wing extremism, the AFP as well as the Vlaams Belang, have been seeking cooperation structures in Germany. "Both formations are interested in finding serious partners in Germany for networking the nonconformist opposition in Europe" explained the vice-chairman of "Pro NRW" in April 2007 following his visit to Vienna. This "also means common patriotic electoral lists in future European parliamentary elections."[4] Nazi Collaborators The AFP, Vlaams Belang and "Pro Koeln"/"Pro NRW" have since been pushing for right-wing extremist structures in Europe. One component is a "city alliance against Islamization" founded with collaboration of these three organizations in January in Antwerp. Also in January, the party chairmen of the AFP and the Vlaams Belang announced the founding of a "European right-wing party" in Vienna, with the inclusion of the French Front National as well as the Ataka (Bulgarian National Union Attack Party). Contact has been established to many other organizations. Of structural importance is that there are parties involved that maintain a tradition of Nazi collaboration. This is particularly true for the Vlaams Belang, whose predecessor, the anti-French Flemish Movement, drew its strength from its collaboration with the German Reich. Founded in 1956, it is the successor of the disbanded Union of the Independent (Verband der Unabhängigen, VdU) which had been a post-war safe-haven organization for former members of the NSDAP. Anton Reinthaller, the first AFP chairman, was an ex-SS brigade commander. Reinthaller, who had been imprisoned from 1950 - 1953 for his Nazi activities, had joined the NSDAP even before Austria was annexed by Germany. Reinthaller's successor, the AFP chairman (from 1958 - 1978), Friedrich Peter, was also a former NSDAP member. During the Second World War, he rose to the Nazi Party rank of senior storm leader of the Waffen-SS. His last unit was part of the detachment responsible for the liquidation of hundreds of thousands of Jews behind the frontlines. The Waffen-SS deserves "all honors and respect" alleged the long-term AFP chairman Joerg Haider in 1995.[6] The AFP European parliamentarian, Andreas Moelzer, attempted to explain the significance of Nazis in the concept behind a European alliance: Nazi Germany sought "to unite the continent".[7] Moelzer, who at the moment is in charge of international cooperation for the AFP, will also make an appearance at the "Pro Koeln" congress this weekend. Unity It has yet to be decided, which of the German organizations will be included in the European structures of the Nazi collaborators. Only "Pro Koeln"/"Pro NRW" and the NPD are among the top-ranking candidates. All others (DVU and "Republiker") are excluded. Currently their chances of winning are very low. But, whereas "Pro Koeln"/"Pro NRW" for the time being is limited to the federal state North Rhine Westphalia, a cooperation with the NPD will be problematic, particularly for Belgium. This party revives memories of Nazi terror through its links to the violent Neo-Nazi scene and its open identifications with the "Third Reich." Last June, during informal talks at the "Europe Congress" of the "Republikaner", Filip Dewinter, the figurehead of the Vlaams Belang, implied a solution to the problem, integrating all of the parties under consideration - including the NPD. Dewinter, who spoke on the question of setting up Europe-wide structures, said in reference to Germany's splintered right extremists, "it would be wonderful, if unity could be possible."[8] Dewinter considers that "in the next few years" a cross-party unification is conceivable including both "Pro Koeln" and the NPD, to create a powerful German cooperation partner. A Contribution Regardless of which German organization joins the emerging European right-wing party, it would be part of a prospective EU-wide coalition founded on the basis of a tradition of collaboration in the Nazi period, whose structures are linked to current right-wing extremist agitation. History shows Nazism went underground after World War II. How long will it be until it reemerges to torment the world again?

“One day we shall come back. Until then, à bientôt.”

Those ominous words—à bientôt, “bye for now”—were spoken by an anonymous German military spokesman on Nazi radio on Sept. 1, 1944. By that time, defeat was knocking on Hitler’s door. But that didn’t deter one of his cocksure officers from going on radio to forecast the future resurrection of the Nazi death machine. Think about that: The slaughter-fest that was World War ii wasn’t even over, and the Nazis were declaring their return!

The most frightening thing about that man’s sinister prophecy is that he was not alone: At the end of World War II, tens of thousands of Germans believed and hoped Nazism would one day return to haunt the Earth.

In fact, documented history proves that as World War II came to a close, Nazi leaders actually began to make elaborate preparations for the future resurrection of Hitler’s Nazi death machine!

That might sound absurd to the Western ear.

That’s because most people today believe Nazi Germany was utterly defeated by the Allied powers. That’s understandable. Photos of postwar German cities and countryside show a razed nation. The German nation was well and truly thrashed by the Allied powers.

What too few understand today is that Nazi ideology and the Nazi movement—which caused World War II—were never eradicated!

Since the Second World War ended, a steady stream of evidence has surfaced proving that the Nazis—even as early as 1943—concocted and enacted a strategy to perpetuate Nazism after the war ended. This history is not being discussed in classrooms or written about by modern (revisionist) historians, or used as context in observing current trends in Germany. We can bury the truth through neglect, but we can never negate it.

The truth: The Nazi movement that caused the Second World War became a thriving underground movement.

Herbert W. Armstrong, editor in chief of the Plain Truth magazine, was among the first to report on the Nazis’ efforts to burrow underground. One of his strongest warnings occurred after the war on the night of May 9, 1945, while he was attending the landmark United Nations conference in San Francisco. Mr. Armstrong told listeners of his World Tomorrow radio program that night that while the battle against Nazism was over, the war against Nazism was not (emphasis mine throughout).

We don’t understand German thoroughness. From the very start of World War II, they have considered the possibility of losing this second round, as they did the first—and they have carefully, methodically planned, in such eventuality, the third round—World War III! Hitler has lost. This round of war, in Europe, is over. And the Nazis have now gone UNDERGROUND. In France and Norway they learned how effectively an organized UNDERGROUND can hamper occupation and control of a country. Paris was liberated by the French UNDERGROUND—and Allied armies. Now a Nazi underground is methodically planned. They plan to COME BACK and to win on the third try. …

This Nazi underground will introduce a new kind of internal warfare and sabotage, to divide and conquer! It will stir race hatred, class prejudice, strife among ourselves, religious bigotry while professing to champion religious tolerance especially toward the religion of the coming United States of Europe.

What bold, sweeping statements!

Some today disregard those statements because they believe they were only based on Bible prophecy, which, as Mr. Armstrong taught for decades, speaks of a coming resurrection of Nazi Germany. Those critics ought to study history. Bible prophecy definitely underpinned Mr. Armstrong’s powerful statements, but those statements were and are powerfully substantiated by a widening stream of documented evidence.

Herbert Armstrong was not alone in warning that the Nazis had gone underground.

In 1945, the British Ministry of Economic Warfare estimated that the Nazis looted nearly $27 billion from the European nations they had conquered. As the war came to a close, most of that loot was stashed away by the Nazi Party for the financing of international underground activities for the years to come. In 1945, in a book titled The Plot Against the Peace, Michael Sayers and Albert E. Khan exposed the vast preparations by the Nazis during World War II to take their movement underground:

Since 1943, Nazi money, jewels and other valuables have been streaming across the Reich frontiers and finding their way by clandestine channels into Spain, Switzerland, Sweden and North and South America. … With these vast hidden sums at their disposal, the Nazis have already reconstituted and reorganized their wartime international fifth columns and set up new propaganda agencies and terrorist leagues for the postwar period.

Get that: The German General Staff, which historically has been a blend of industrialists, Junkers, and political and military leaders, was making plans to perpetuate Nazism underground after the war as early as two years before World War II ended!

“The German General Staff,” wrote Sayers and Khan, “has always regarded military defeat as merely a temporary phase of the war. The war goes on. Battle strategy becomes underground conspiracy; artillery is replaced by propaganda, wartime espionage becomes postwar political intrigue, terror, assassination and secret preparation for new military attack.” Study German history. You’ll see that is precisely what occurred during the 20-year hiatus between World Wars I and II.

World War I never ended in the minds of many of the German General Staff. The guns stopped blasting and the soldiers limped home, but the war never stopped. War preparations merely went underground, and for a season artillery and rifles were replaced by propaganda, politics and economics. “Even the final decision of war is not to be regarded as absolute,” wrote influential 19th-century German military theorist Karl von Clausewitz. “The conquered nation often sees it only as a passing phase, to be repaired in after times by political combinations” (“Vom Kriege,” meaning, “On War”).

Politics and economics have been as effective as instruments of war in the hands of the German General Staff as guns and bayonets.

Edwin Hartrich wrote about this reality in The Fourth and Richest Reich, a book exposing in detail the postwar economic revival of Germany and the nation’s remarkable and rapid transformation from a bombed-out country to the largest and most influential economy in Europe. A journalist specializing in European affairs during the Second World War, Hartrich describes the surprising lack of Nazi leaders in Germany by the end of the war.

Allied forces found plenty of Nazi soldiers and sympathizers as they began to occupy Germany, he said, but they were surprised at how little evidence there was of Nazi leaders and organizations. Hartrich explained this surprising dearth:

It was soon obvious that many high-ranking Nazis, especially members of Himmler’s dreaded Gestapo, the SS, and S-D organizations, had disappeared; they were hiding behind false identification papers until such time as they could escape to South America or some other receptive asylum for ex-Nazis.

Nazi leaders had made plans to flee Germany months, even years, before Allied tanks and soldiers moved in to occupy the German state. These Nazi leaders, many of whom were incredibly rich and extremely well-connected, fanned out across Europe and the globe. More importantly, very few had any plans for retirement. Many sought to perpetuate their evil craft and became eager participants in the globe-encompassing Nazi underground!

Among the evidence testifying to the Nazis’ desires to rise again were the warnings of Soviet leader Josef Stalin. Notice what he told his people, and the world, on Nov. 6, 1944:

After the defeat of Germany she will, of course, be disarmed, both in the economic and military-political respects. However it would be naive to think that she will not attempt to restore her power and develop new aggression. It is known to all that the German leaders are already now preparing for a new war ….

Remember, Stalin and Hitler had a warm relationship prior to World War II. Russia and Germany even signed a non-aggression pact in 1939, and many fretted in the early months of the war that Moscow would actually side with the Germans. Stalin understood Adolf Hitler and had terrific insight into German history and Nazism: He knew that Germany would attempt to restore its power and that Nazi leaders, even during World War II, were preparing for another war!

Further evidence of the Nazis’ efforts to take their movement underground surfaced in 1996, when the American government released a newly declassified U.S. intelligence document. Arthur Spiegelman wrote about this document for Reuters on May 10, 1996:

Realizing they were losing the war in 1944, Nazi leaders met top German industrialists to plan a secret postwar international network to restore them to power, according to a newly declassified U.S. intelligence document. The document, which appears to confirm a meeting historians have long argued about, says an SS general and a representative of the German armaments ministry told such companies as Krupp and Röhling that they must be prepared to finance the Nazi Party after the war when it went underground. They were also told “existing financial reserves in foreign countries must be placed at the disposal of the [Nazi] Party so that a strong German empire can be created after the defeat.”

The document, detailing an August 1944 meeting, was obtained on Friday from the World Jewish Congress, which has been working with the Senate Banking Committee and the Holocaust Museum to determine what happened to looted Jewish money and property in the Second World War. A U.S. Treasury Department analysis in 1946 reported that the Germans had transferred $500 million out of the country before the war’s end to countries such as Spain, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Portugal, Argentina and Turkey where it was used to buy hundreds of companies.

It’s important we note the composition and scope of this underground Nazi movement. It was more than the relocation of a few SS officers and political leaders, or the purchase of a few companies by which Nazi loot might be laundered. It was a large-scale calculated dispersion of thousands of Nazi industrialists, scientists and political and military leaders to various locations and regions around the world. With billions of dollars in purchasing power, Nazi leaders bought hundreds of companies around the world and filled many of them with former Nazis willing to perpetuate the Nazi dream of world domination.

Unlike the German state, the underground Nazi movement at the end of World War II—with billion-dollar bank accounts and a vast network of influential business and political leaders around the world—was positioned to thrive!

Those who accept this reality now come face to face with two pressing questions: Is Nazism still alive today? And, how long before it reemerges to torment the world?

The best way to answer those questions is to look toward the “more sure word of [Bible] prophecy” (2 Peter 1:19). Regular readers of the Trumpet know there are multiple prophecies in the Bible referring specifically to a soon-coming German-dominated European empire. If you haven’t already, you can learn about many of these prophecies in Germany and the Holy Roman Empire. A prophecy in Daniel 8 is particularity fascinating when considered in the context of the underground Nazi movement and its soon-coming emergence onto the world scene.

Read verses 23 through 25: “And at the latter end of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached the fullness, a king of fierce countenance and understanding dark trickery and craftiness shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; and he shall corrupt and destroy astonishingly and shall prosper and do his own pleasure, and he shall corrupt and destroy the mighty men and the holy people. And through his policy he shall cause trickery to prosper in his hand; he shall magnify himself in his heart and mind, and in their security he will corrupt and destroy many” (Amplified Bible).

These scriptures are referring to the emergence of a brutal regime in the end time that will be headed by a “king of fierce countenance.” Consider the terms used by the Prophet Daniel: He’s clearly talking about a fierce, conniving and evil man, and an organization that thrives on deceit and trickery, brutality and corruption. Are there any better terms to describe the Nazis and their efforts to burrow underground at the end of World War I?

“In times of chaos and social upheaval,” wrote Edwin Hartrich, “men of vision, daring and talent find sudden buoyance and rise through the turbulence to the surface of events.”

Watch Europe. Germany and the European Union are experiencing chaos and social and political upheaval right now. Conditions are ideal for the emergence of a daring and talented visionary, a man with a fierce countenance and prone to trickery and deceit. Bible prophecy says this man will soon emerge on the world stage. When he does, will he have connections to the Nazi underground? •

"Even before the end of this war, I revealed to you the plans for a NAZI UNDERGROUND MOVEMENT, to go underground as a SECRET organization the very moment they lost the war - to lay low...then come forth when least expected, RESTORE GERMANY TO POWER, and go on to finally accomplish their aims in a WORLD WAR III" - The Plain Truth, Sept. 1948.

The Philadelphia Trumpet magazine (Feb. 2000) reminded its international audience that Herbert W. Armstrong wrote those prophetic words long before they were confirmed by Reuters Arthur Spiegelman, who wrote on May 10, 1996:

Elan Steinberg, executive director of the World Jewish Congress stated: "Now that the Nazi secret plan has been confirmed, the central question is whether it has been carried out."

Need we wonder? Considering German hegemony throughout Europe is practically a done deal (with the Vatican's blessing), aren't Herbert W. Armstrong's warnings about the final revival of the "Holy Roman Empire" being fulfilled before our very eyes? Only the deaf, dumb and blind could deny that the Germans have thoroughly carried out their plans!

But what is the German-Catholic kingdom without the crown of Jerusalem? "Woe to Ariel, Ariel, the city where David dwelt!" (Isaiah 29:1).

The Vatican covets Mount Zion and the Temple Mount and Europe won't quit until it occupies the eternal capital of Israel! Both the Arabs and the Jews had better beware any European moves into the Middle East.
